Funeral services were held at 2 p.m Wednesday, November 22, at the Wolfe Funeral Home in Villisca for Mrs. Anna Cozad, 92, of Villisca, formerly of Grant. Burial was in the Grant Cemetery.
She was born September 27, 1875 in Walnut, Illinois, the daughter of Fred and Louise Todenhagen and moved with her parents when a child of xic years to Iowa where they settled in the Grant vicinity. She was married March 15, 1900 to Martin R. Cozad and they farmed near Grant for many years, later in the Morton Mills vicinity and then moved to Villisca in 1943. Mr. Cozad died in 1954. She died November 18 at the Municipal Hospital in Clarinda after a month's illness. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. W. R. Baldwin and Mrs. Joe Gager of St. Paul, Minnesota and Mrs. Blanche Eblem of Council Bluffs, two sons, Everett Cozad of Council Bluffs and Martin Cozad of Villisca, 19 grandchildren, four sisters and two brothers.
A daughter, Mrs. Ferrel Logue of Cumberland and a son, Wesley of St. Paul, Minnesota, preceded their mother in death.
