Nelson E. (Gene) Stafford, 90, of Sebring, served in the United States Navy in the Pacific during World War II. He was a 50-year member of the Marmaton Blue Lodge 245 of Moran, Kan.
Survivors include his daughter, Janis Ellis of Plantation; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; sister, Vera Harms of Thayer, Kan.; and brothers, Raymond of Westfield, N.J. and Harold of Kansas City, Kan.
A military graveside service was Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Placid.
