Jack N. Aldridge, Sr., 76, of Vidor died Wednesday, January 17, 2002 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Port Arthur he was a lifelong resident of Vidor and was the owner of Aldridge Auto Salvage in Vidor. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WW II. Mr. Aldridge participated in the defence of Guadacanal and in the assault and capture of Tarawa Atoll in the Pacific Theater. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral home in Vidor with burial to follow at Del-Rose Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2002 at the funeral home. He is survived by his sons: Jack N. Aldridge, Jr., Clifton J. Aldridge, Jake R. Aldridge, Jerry Scott all of Vidor, TX., Tyra O'Brain of Ohio. Brothers: Jimmy Laughlin, David Laughlin both of Clute, TX. Sisters: Maxine Jeffers, Frances Wilson, Ada Rose Gall all of Vidor, TX., Barbara Glasgow of Clute, TX. 11 Grandchildren
