Mrs. Lois M. (Barnett) Angle, 88, of 235 Landis Ave., Waynesboro, PA, died at 10:50 A.M., Sunday, March 15, 2009, in the Waynesboro Hospital. Her death was unexpected following a short illness.
Born December 21, 1920 in Three Springs, PA, she was the daughter of the late George N. and Nora E. (Chesnut) Barnett. She lived her early life in Fulton County, PA.
Mrs. Angle graduated from Hustontown High School in Fulton County, with the class of 1939.
She and her husband, the late W. Elliott Angle, were married on January 6, 1940 in the Hustontown United Methodist Church, by Rev. Marcus W. Randall. They moved to their present residence in August 1956. Mr. Angle died on December 18, 2004.
Mrs. Angle owned and operated Angle's Grocery in New Franklin, PA for 11 years. She also worked at Carl's Market, Waynesboro, for 9 years and Becker's Superthrift, Rouzerville, PA, for 15 years.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Waynesboro.
Mrs. Angle enjoyed being a homemaker and was an avid organic gardener.

She is survived by two sons, W. Craig Angle of Waynesboro and John E. Angle of Hagerstown; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, M. LaVerne Barnett of Zullinger, PA and Grace W. Shotts of Waterfall, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Larry E. Angle, who died on November 3, 2003 and Donald C. Angle, who died on July 27, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Muriel C. Henry and her brother, Kenneth C. Barnett.

Private graveside services will be held in Green Hill Cemetery, with Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook, officiating.
