Son of Adolphe Antoine Olivie and Emma M. Blydenburgh, husband of Lila B. Conklin, whom he married on March 30, 1902, in Central Islip, New York, and father of Bernard Adolph Jr., Beatrice Isabelle (married Warren Richmond Thompson, married Herbert Glamore), and Harold Olivie.

Obituary - A life-long resident of Smithtown, Bernard Olivie Sr., 46, died at his home on Route 111,
Smithtown on December 19. He was born in Hauppauge on December 17, 1884, and had lived on Landing Avenue for over 50 years before moving to Route 111. Mr. Olivie, a building contractor, was a member of the Smithtown Kiwanis Club. The Kiwanis Club members met at the O. R. Davis Funeral Home, Landing Avenue, on Wednesday evening to pay their respects. Services will be held at 2 P.M. December 22 at 2 p.m. at the Smithtown Methodist Church with the Reverend John Bardsley officiating. Interment will follow at the Landing Methodism Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Anna; a son, Harold of Landing Avenue; a son, Donald of the U.S. Air Force stationed in Illinois; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
