Mrs. Rachel Elizabeth (Lizzie) Franks, age 93, died Wednesday, September 25 at Houston Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Friday, September 27 at Macedonia Methodist Church. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery with Bro. Dan Mannix and Bro. Dexter Beavers officiating.
The daughter of the late William Harley Finn and the late Nancy Virginia Ray, she was a homemaker and a member of the Nazarene Church. She was born in Chickasaw County and was the widow of the late Morris Franks.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Olivia Franks Brown of Houston and Mrs. Lillie Franks Collier of Eupora; one son, Priest Franks of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Colburn of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Mrs. Flora Griggs of Houston; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jerry Haimes, Richard Sisk, Ralph Thomas, Conway Nichols, Steve Griffin and Thomas Odie Martin.
Memorial Funeral Home of Houston, Inc was in charge of arrangements.
