Mrs. Wm. Watkins Dies This Morning - Funeral Services Sunday Afternoon
Mrs. Bessie M. Watkins, 56, wife of William E. Watkins, of three miles southeast of Decatur , died at 1 o'clock this morning at the Adams county memorial hospital following an illness of two years.
Born in Blue Creek township Dec. 18, 1899, she was a daughter of Samuel and Lydia Martz-Durbin, and was married to William T. Watkins March 27, 1920.
Mrs. Watkins was a member of the Peasant Mills Methodist church and the W. S. C. S. of the church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Russell, Burvil and Marvin Watkins, all of Decatur; one brother, Harry Durbin of Fort Wayne ; one sister, Mrs. John Brown of Monroeville , and four grandchildren. One sister is deceased.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Zwick funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Mills Methodist church, the Rev. Harley T. Shady, of Millgrove, and the Rev. Billy Springfield, of Pleasant Mill, officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening.
