Susan Louisa (Moir) Allison was the daughter of Stratton and Susan Louisa (Mildern) Moir. She was born in Columbo, Ceylon, India. After her father's death about 1850 in Ceylon, her mother remarried and the family moved to British Columbia. On September 3, 1868 she married John Fall Allison. Susan wrote a book about her life as a pioneer wife in the BC area entitled A Pioneer Gentlewoman in British Columbia which is still in print and available. She and John Fall had fourteen children. Those not linked below whose burials are unknown are: Robert Wilford (1871-1926); Beatrice Jane Bruce-Mitford (1872-1956); John "Jack" Stratton (1878-1908); Elfreda Flora Holmes (1881-1961). Beatrice and Elfreda emigrated to England with their spouses and died there.
