The funeral of D H Eastman was held at the home of his son, O J Eastman, southwest of State Center, Monday afternoon, Rev C J Rose, pastor of the M E church officiated. Interment was made in Hillside cemetery.

Dean H Eastman was born at Stowe, Oxford county, Maine, December 21, 1835. He died at the home of his son Saturday morning. He was married to Ellen A Buchanan at Primrose, Wisconsin, March 17, 1859. He had lived in Wisconsin and South Dakota until a year ago he moved to Albion, in this county, but he had lived with his son here since last Thanksgiving. He was the father of ten children, six of whom are living. They are Mrs James Lindsay of Brookings, South Dakota; John of Maine; Clarence of Fargo, North Dakota; Bert of Plankington, South Dakota; Charles of Hot Springs, South Dakota; Orvile of this place. He is also survived by his wife and three sisters and one brother, all of the latter living in the east.
