FORMER RESIDENT PASSES ON VISIT
The body of V.B. Davis, age 72, retired farmer, who died Saturday night while on a visit with his daughter, Mrs. Carl Deason, at 1901 Cooper Avenue, was sent by Usrey Funeral Home to his home at Cotton Valley, La., where funeral services were to be conducted today.
Mr. Davis was a native of Shelby County and formerly resided in this county. He is survived by five sons, J.B. of Jacksonville, J.D. of Joiner, La.,H.O. of Houston, Texas., and J.W. and E. G. of Cotton Valley; six daughters, Mrs. Deason, Mrs. Ethel Smith of Doylene, La., Mrs. Mildred Boyd of Wright City, Texas, Mrs. Viola Ingram of Anniston and Mrs. Audrey Snider and Mrs. Jewell Snider of Jacksonville.
