Margaret L. Jefferson, 76, 3625 Briarwick, Kokomo, died Monday, March 27, 2000 at SCCI Hospital.

Born Dec. 14, 1923 in Marion, she was the daughter of Hezekiah and Stella (Wallace) Burden.

She attended Marion High School. She had been employed by General Tire and Rubber Co, Wabash. She was a member of Daughters of Isis No. 77, Marion; Order of Eastern Star; Bethel A.M.E., Marion and LeCheyne Travel Club. She enjoyed fishing, golf and travel.

Surviving are a son, Gerald Jefferson; two sisters, Zoma Stevens, Indianapolis, and Genevieve Rickman; seven grandchildren - Michael Glover, Tracie Brame, Trent, Tyrone, Tyree and Terrance Jefferson and Tracy Coble; seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brotheres and three sisters and a grandchild.

Services are Friday at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 818 N. Apperson Way. The Rev. Robert Lee will officiate. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church. Bluitt & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
