Ollie Dobbins daughter of Joseph Arthur "Bud" and Allie Louella (Hammon) Dobbins married James Nevels.

Ollie Dobbins Nevels, 90, of Scottsboro was born November 3, 1919. She passed away November 27, 2009 at Highlands Medical Center. Funeral services were held Sunday November 29, 2009 at 2 p.m. from Rudder Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Timothy H. Pierce officated with burial in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Nevels was survived by her children, Reba Casteel and Elizabeth Jo Henegar, both of Scottsboro, Dorothy (Leon) Frances Mitchell of Dothan, James Larry Nevels of Scottsboro, Lois Ann Culpepper of Macedonia and Bonnie (Rickey) Rae Downey of Charlotte, N.C.; sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-granchildren; and two sisters, Mildren Brandon and Annie Lou Allison, both of Fackler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Allie Dobbins; husband, James Nevels; brothers, Joe Dobbins, Bill Dobbins, Tom Dobbins, Roy Lee Dobbins and George W. Dobbins; great grandchildren, Emily Joy Seymour and Jacob Autry.

Pallbearers were David Casteel, Johnny Henegar, Mitch Mitchell, Jonathan Mitchell, Jim Nevels, Lance Nevels, Bo Culpepper and Ricky Downey.
