Anderson, Adolf, s/o J. O. & E., (d. 5-25-1908; b. 5-22-1896; TS; OC; obit) "A very sad accident occurred here last Monday. The two sons of J. O. Anderson, Dewey and Adolph, went early in the morning to spend the day fishing along the banks of Crab Creek, and while engaged, Adolph, the older of the two boys, slipped into the water and was unable, though his younger brother strove manfully to assist him, to again regain the bank. Before his younger brother could summon assistance, Adolph was drowned. The body was recovered and was taken to the home of W. E. Chase and prepared for burial. The interment took place at the Odessa cemetery Tuesday. The sympathies of the entire community are with the bereaved family in their great loss." (Odessa Record: 5-29-1908)
