Former Cafe Operator Dies At Home Here

Thomas P. Apostle, 58, of 1517 W Main,
died of cerebral hemorrhage at his home
Wednesday afternoon.

Apostle was born in Verrino Aegion,
Greece on Jan. 1, 1886. He came to
the United States at the age of 18
and returned to Greece to enlist in
the army and fought in the Balkan
war. After the war he returned to
the United States and came to
Oklahoma City in 1908. He
established the Royal Kitchen and
Cafe at 102 W Grand, which he
operated for 18 years.

For the past several years he was
employed by the city as ground
foreman at the city warehouse.

He is survived by his wife, Ida;
a daughter, Katherine Apostle,
of the home address; and a brother
George, now in Canada.

2 pm Saturday in the Greek
Orthodox church, under the
direction of the Garrison funeral
home. Burial will be in Rose Hill.
