Virgil G. Kinnaird
Virgil Gibney Kinnaird, 74, of 6002 Glen Hill Drive, Louisville, died Friday at Norton Hospital in Louisville. Born May 4, 1920, in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Virgil Gibney and Rebecca Walker Kinnaird. He was a Boyle County farmer. He was a pilot in the Army Air Corps in World War II.
He is a member of the Wrangler's Club of Louisville. He attended Centre, the University of Kentucky Agriculture College and the University of Louisville School of Urban Development.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Caldwell Kinnaird; three sons, Virgil Gibney Kinnaird III of Sheridan, Wyo., Bruce Woodward Kinnaird of Louisville and Alexander McKee Kinnaird of Middletown, Ohio; a daughter, Angeline Cook Kinnaird of Denver, Colo.; a brother, Dr. David Kinnaird of Louisville; a sister, Mrs. J.N. ."Alice" Frankel of Danville and three grandsons.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at Bellevue Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at their Louisville residence. Memorials 'are suggested to the College Scholarship Fund of the Presbyterian Community Center, 760 S. Hancock St., Louisville 40203.
