He was born on May 26, 1932, in Breckenridge, Texas and married Mary Jo Duckworth on October 7, 1949.
Don worked for the Cabot Carbon Black company for 35 years and was the warehouse supervisor. He also loved driving trucks and drove a dumptruck after Cabot closed. He then purchased and operated Comet Cleaners. Don loved collecting old coins and watching his grandkids in all their activities. He was a giving man who achieved Shriner status as a Mason and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Coahoma.
Survivors include wife, Jo Evans of, Big Spring; two sons, Rickey Don Evans and wife, Kim of Midland and Randy Lee Evans and wife, Karri of Big Spring; one daughter, Cathy Jo Paige and husband, Spot of Big Spring; ten grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Billie Dupree and Quee Lincoln.
