Obituary, THE RECORD - May. 6, 2006 ERLENE CATHARINE BURKHARDT 1919-2006 Peacefully, at Summit Place Nursing Home, Owen Sound, on Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at age 87.Beloved wife of the late Melvin; loving mother of Ross and Judy of Waterloo and Brian and Ursula of Markdale; loved grandmother of John Burkhardt and Jeremy and Alissa Pencer; great-grandmother of Ryan and Joshua Burkhardt; mother-in-law of Dr. Ed Pencer; dear sister of Glen Cressman and Kay Fast.Erlene was predeceased by a daughter, Janice; by sisters, Marcella Siebert, Olive Wilhelm, and Vernita Smith and by brothers, Marvin, and Walter.A memorial service to celebrate Erlene's life and faith will be held at Erb St. Mennonite Church, 131 Erb St. W., Waterloo on Monday, June 5, 2006 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Eleanor Epp-Stobbe officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. A private family interment was held at Erb St. Mennonite Cemetery.In memory of Erlene, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of K-W, and may be arranged through the Edward R.
