Sidney Prime, age 75, of Fort Plain RD 3,
died in Little Falls Hospital.

Born in Salt Springville, the son of William
and Charlotte Smith Prime. He was married to
Elsie Whyland Prime.

Amsterdam Recorder Monday April 12, 1971-
Sidney Prime 75 of RD 3, Fort Plain died
Saturday April 10, 1971 at Little Falls
Hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Prime was born Dec. 15, 1895, in
Salt Springville, he was the son of William
and Charlotte Smith Prime.He had been
employed at Remington Arms ,Illion and at
the Dan Franklin Dairy, retiring in 1961.

He was a member of the Salt Springville United
Methodist Church, the Cherry Valley Masonic
Lodge and the Sprout Brook Rod and Gun Club.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Elsie Whyland
Prime; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Spraker of
Fort, Plain and Mrs. Almond Utter of RD 1,
Cherry Valley; four brothers, Herman of Fort
Plain, Emory of Fonda, Merritt of Canajoharie
RD and William Prime of Fort Plain RD.; two
sisters. Mrs. Clifford Cook and Mrs. William
Cook both of RD 3. Fort Plain. Three
grandchildren seven great-grandchildren
several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.
tomorrow at the Swartz Funeral Home. The
Rev. Myron Tripp, pastor of the Salt Springville
United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial
will be later in the Freysbush Cemetery.
