Alden Williamson I was the son of Hugh Williamson and Elizabeth Srewart.

Alden had two wifes, Isabelle Thompson and Mary Elizabeth Jackson.

Alden married Isabelle Thompson in Fincastle, Boletourt, Virginia in 1778, at the age of 28, Isabelle was the daughter of Richard Thompson & Mildred Short. She died in child birth giving birth to her son Richard.

Alden & Isabelle had five children; Benjamin, John, Hammond, Anna Eva & Richard.

Alden married Mary Elizabeth Jackson in Russell Virginia on October 29, 1790. The had nine children; Alden Williamson II, Elizabeth, Hiram, Solomon, William, Eliza, Elias Williamson I, & Jamrs Williamson.

Alden was a Revolutionary War Soldier. He is listed in the Annals of Southwest Virginia. He was with Captain William Campbell's Company on the Fincastle County Battalion lists. His name was spelled Auldin Williamson. He was in the Battle of Point Pleasant West Virginia. This battle was considered the First Battle of the Revolutionary War.

Alden moved into the Big Sandy Valley 1775-1801 His Will was made in Oct 1816 in Martin County, Kentucky. Shortly thereafter, Alden drowned in a rafting accident going down the Tug River, near Huntington, West Virginia.
