R.W. "Bill" Dawson, 57, of Yakima, supervisor of the Naches Water Treatment Plant for the City of Yakima since 1971, died Tuesday in Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

He was born in St. Helens, Ore., and lived in Richland from 1951 to 1971.

He worked for General Electric and Douglas United Nuclear at Hanford and served in the Army Air Cadets for three years.

Survivors include his wife, Marge; parents, Frank and Esther Dawson, Ellensburg; daughters, Gayle Muir, Esther Muir, and Debra Fogler, West Richland, Michel Thompson, Yakima; brothers, Robert Dawson, Bainbridge Island, Emery Dawson, Miles; and five grandchildren.

Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday in Keith & Keith Funeral Home, 902 W. Yakima Ave., Yakima.
