Gracie Mae Mayberry, 77, went home to be with the Lord on August 19, 2008. She walked peacefully from this life surrounded by her family here, into the arms of the family waiting for her in Heaven.

Gracie was born on March 11, 1931 at her parent's home in Pine Hill , Oklahoma . As a young girl, she excelled in academics as well as athletics. She was the valedictorian of her graduating class at Olive High School and was a starting member of both her high school basketball and softball teams. Following high school she worked for several companies and retired from Bartlett-Collins after 31 years of devoted service. She was also Traffic Manager for Indiana Glass for 10 years. She was a member of the Business Women's Association and the Bartlett-Collins Bowling League. Gracie was a devoted wife and mother and loved nothing more than cooking meals for her large family. She also enjoyed fishing and attending church activities. Gracie and her husband Gene are members of the First Church of God and the Happy Warriors Sunday School class.

Gracie is survived by her husband of 31 years, Gene P. Mayberry; her sons Ronnie Watkins of Glenpool and Rick Watkins and wife Laura of Sapulpa, Marsha Jones and husband John of Kellyville, Paul Mayberry and wife Lori of Berryhill, and Marla Sanchez and husband George of Tulsa; Her brothers, Lester Wilson of Plano, Texas, Kenneth Wilson and wife Ruby of Sapulpa, and Larry Wilson and wife Karen of Sapulpa; Her sister, Carol Livingston of Midland, Texas, and her sister-in-law and best friend, Jessie Violet Wilson of Sapulpa.

She was the beloved Grandmother of Kedrick Watkins and wife Cecilia of Broken Arrow, Kelly Watkins of Sapulpa, Kenda Watkins of Tulsa, Ricky Watkins and wife Jennifer of Sapulpa, Jeremy Watkins of Sapulpa, Garrick Watkins of Sapulpa, Angela Crawford and husband James of Kiefer, Darin Jones of Kellyville, Lacee Sanchez of Tulsa, Cruz Sanchez of Tulsa, Anthony Mayberry of Berryhill and Brody Mayberry of Berryhill.

Gracie's cherished Great Grandchildren are Austin Watkins, Ashlyn Jones, Lucas Jones, Jacee Crawford and Madelyn Crawford.

Gracie was preceded in death and met in Heaven by her mother, Edith Wilson, her father Lester Wilson; her sisters Ann Wilson and Marjorie Walters; brother Chester E. Wilson; sister-in-law Helen Wilson; daughter-in-law Jan Watkins and son-in-law Danny Jones.

A celebration of Gracie's life will be held at the First Church of God in Sapulpa on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of Green Hill Funeral Home.
