Violet Smelser, 81, of Paragould, Arkansas, died Sunday, January 19, 2014, at Greene Acres Nursing Home.
Born May 16, 1932, in Conway, Arkansas.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one son, Terry William Smelser of Kirkland, Washington; three daughters, Deloris Parker of Lafe, Rita Smelser of Denver, Colorado, and Annette Smelser of Hot Springs, Arkansas. She is also survived by one sister, Francis; four grand-sons and one great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Grace McPhearson; and her husband, Thomas Smelser.
Graveside services were held at Linwood Cemetery. Arrangements were by: Mitchell Funeral Home.
