Ethel Lucy Drown of Pineville, daughter of the late Joseph Arnold & Sylvia Young Arnold was born December 6, 1899 in Iuka, Arkansas. She died Friday June 4, 1993 at the Calico Rock Medical Center at the age of 93 years.

She was united in marriage to Thomas J. Drown on December 7, 1918 in Iuka and to this union 3 daughters were born. She spent her lifetime as a homemaker and was a member of the Pineville Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Pineville.

Mrs. Drown is survived by 3 daughters: Jessie Brown of Russellville, Joyce May of Little Rock and Gloria Phillips of Madison, Wisconsin; 3 sisters, Effie Ingram and Elsie Killian both of Calico Rock and Delsie Martin of Yellville; Six grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Parents, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.

Services were Monday, June 7, 1993 at 2:00 p.m. at the Howard Chapel in Calico Rock with Rev. Robert Williams officiating.

Pallbearers were Larry Brown, Jim May, David Christie, Beth Christie, Ronald Drown and Dalton Jennings.

Interment was at Pineville Cemetery in Pineville, under the directions of Howard Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
