Robert Emmett Drewry, aged 5 and a half years, died the day before his mother on October 9th. Emmett made this entry concerning his wife's death in the family Bible: "died from grief over her son." This gave rise to a family legend which states that Robert followed his mother everywhere saying he and his mother would go to heaven together. They were taken sick at the same time and died one day apart and were buried in a single, common grave at "Cedar Grove."
