Mrs. Florence V. Gravatt, 68, of 304 Main St., New Kensington, died yesterday in Citizens General Hospital, New Kensington, after a short illness. She had been hospitalized for the past four days. Born Sept. 6, 1893, in Butler, she had resided in New Kensington for a number of years, and in Florida for the past seven years. Her husband William B. Gravatt, died in June 1956. Mrs. Gravatt was the daughter of William L. and Effie Jane Weaver Bricher. She attended First Baptist Church New Kensington, and was a member of the Mary Belle Rebekah Lodge 326, the Senior Woman's Club, and Daughters of the America, Lily of the Valley Council, all of New Kensington. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Frederick A. (Ruth) Schupp of McLean, Va., Mrs. Harry J. Lenore) Straub and Mrs. James E. (Dorthy) Lasher, both of New Kensington; a sister, Mrs. Thomas Cost of El Paso, Tex.; a brother William Lee Bricher Jr. of Lorain, Ohio, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the Charles H. Hankey Memorial Home, 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, from 7 to 10 p.m. tonight, and from 1 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday from the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greenwood Memorial Park, New Kensington.
