The following information was sent to me by cousin William "Bill" Ream. Thank you for the input.

"At age 12, Isaac moved with his parents to Hancock Co., Ohio, where he helped his father cleared (sic) 200 acres of land. After finishing grade, he attended the Ohio Normal at Ada, Ohio and taught school a number of years. In 1899, with his wife, Sarah, he went to McPherson, Kansas where they had charge of the cooking department of McPherson College for eight and one half years. In 1908, they went to Chicago where they occupied the same capacity for seventeen years." From: "The Bosserman Family History", Roy E. In 1880 the parents and first two children were living at Washington Township, Page 286, Hardin County, Ohio. In 1900 the family (parents, James and Lottie) was living at McPherson, McPherson County, ED142, Sheet 31, Page 127A, Kansas. Isaac was listed as a Steward at a College and James was a college student. Sarah said she was the mother of two, both living? In 1920 the parents were living alone at Chicago, Cook County, Page 217, ED765, Sheet 9, Illinois. They were cooks at the Bethany Bible School.

Isaac Rothrock was the eldest of nine known children of Joseph Rothrock (1824-1907) and Margaret Mary (went by Polly) Stonehill Rothrock (1824-1872), who married c1846 at Stark County, Ohio. After Polly died, Joseph remarried to the widow Mary Bosserman Bowers (1840-1921) on 20 Dec 1873 in Ohio and had an additional four children.

Isaac married Sarah Bosserman (1849-1934) on 13 Mar 1873 at Hancock County, Ohio. Sarah was the sister of her step-mother Mary Bosserman Bowers Rothrock. Isaac and Sarah were the parents of three known children, namely:

1. Olive Rothrock Yoder (1874-1940)
2. James Rutherford Rothrock (1876-1966)
3. Lottie Viola Rothrock Studebaker (1881-1945)
