MRS. MILLIE ROBERTS

Mrs. Millie Elizabeth Nebeker Roberts died on Sunday morning in the hospital in Salt Lake City from a tumor on the brain from which she had been suffering for some time. Mrs. Roberts became seriously ill about two weeks before her death and was taken to Salt Lake City on the Friday preceding her death. Mrs. Roberts was born in Richfield August 23, 1879 and later lived with her family in Idaho for twelve years. They returned to Richfield and Mrs. Roberts was married there to Walter Roberts. They moved to Delta about twenty years ago and farmed near Sutherland where Mr. Roberts also served as Bishop. Bishop Roberts died there about fifteen years ago. Since that time their son Brose has attended to the farm and Mrs. Roberts kept the home for the family. She is survived by her son Brose and six daughters, Mrs. Elva Steele, LouVell, Zoe, Bee Ivy and Leah all of Delta and a sister Mrs. Effie Barney of Annabelle. Funeral services were held in Delta on Wednesday afternoon at the first ward chapel under the direction of Bishop Jackson of Sutherland. The speakers were Pres. E. L. Lyman, Lawrence Abbott, R.L. Turner, John Reeve and Bishop Gleave of Annabelle an old friend of the Roberts family when they lived in Sevier County. Interment was in the cemetery at Sutherland. A great number of her friends attended the services to pay their last respects to Mrs. Roberts who had long esteemed her for her many excellent qualities. Mrs. Roberts was a loving and devoted mother and her courage and good cheer made her presence always welcome with her friends. She was an active member of the LDS church and had given much valuable assistance to the wards of both Sutherland and Delta. The sympathy of their many friends is extended to the bereaved family.
