She was born April 28, 1893, in the town of New Holstein, to John and Anna [Beyer] Bargenquast. She married Edward Bahrs Nov. 18, 1913, in New Holstein. He died March 31, 1978. Mrs. Bahrs, who attended town of New Holstein schools, farmed in the town of New Holstein with her husband most of her life. They moved to Oshkosh in 1977.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, New Holstein, and its women's guild.
Surviving are one son, Lester, Oshkosh; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. John's United Church of Christ, New Holstein, the Rev. John Baumann officiating. Burial will be in Kiel Cemetery. Friends may call at the church Tuesday from 5 p.m. until the time of services. A memorial has been established.
