LETTER FROM HUBBARD
The young man spoken of in the Lyons Letter , as being found by Amos William, was J. Burke, of Illinois, who accidentally shot himself while hunting. His father was telegraphed to but did not arrive until till Thursday night, so the remains could not be taken home for burial but were buried in the Hubbard cemetery. He was quite well known here, having played in the base ball nine last summer. He made his home at Badoura where he was well spoken of.
