He was born March 17, 1890, in Carthage and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Hodkin. Mr. Hodkin was married in 1913 in Carthage to Lottie Moss and they left here 35 years ago, moving first to Little Rock and later to Dallas. Mr. Hodkin was a retired stone mason.
Surviving are three daughters; two sons, Joe Edward Hodkin, Dallas and Lester Hodkin, Arkansas City, Kan.; three brothers, J. J. Hodkin, route 1; Lee Hodkin, 216 Blanche, and William Hodkin, Little Rock; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd Smith, 518 Oak and Mrs. Charles Neubauer, Mansfield, Ohio; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Chris Hodkin, 1179 Lyon, is a sister-in-law of Mr. Hodkin. His wife died in 1958 in Dallas.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Cave-Smith funeral home in Dallas. Burial will be there.
