LUCINDA ANDREWS HART, New Britain, Conn., second daughter of Dr. Samuel Hart, of the same place, and his wife, Orpha, daughter of James North, Esq., born August 30th, 1820; united with the Congregational Church, December, 1835; married April 27th, 1842, William H. Smith, son of William, born October 22d, 1800, in New Britain, She was his second wife. He was a manufacturer, and was an active business man. He united with the Congregational Church in 1829, and was a deacon of the South Church. He was a man of integrity, very kindly disposed, and was much in public employment. He had just finished a beautiful residence on Main Street, in the south part of the city; when he was suddenly taken ill, and died August 20th, 1873, aged 72 years, 9 months, 27 days. They had—1, Willie Hart, born June 11th, 1846, died September 16th, 1847; 2, .Annie Louisa, born October 19th, 1849, married November 5th, 1874, before Rev. Henry L. Griffin, and Rev. John H. Denison assisting, at the residence of the bride’s mother, Frederick H. Churchill, Esq., a young lawyer of much promise, born March 2 7th, 1847, in New Britain, and graduated at Cambridge, Mass., in 1873.
