IRON RIVER - Marjorie J. Medovich, 82, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Iron River Care Center.
She was born Aug. 13, 1932 in Stambaugh, the daughter of the late William and Signe (Jacobson) Hill. She attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating with the Class of 1950. She then attended the Burrough’s Bookkeeping School in Chicago.
Marjorie married Edward Medovich on April 14, 1951 in Chicago, and the couple returned to the area in 1952 to make their home in Caspian.
She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, and St. Ann’s Society. She was an avid craftsman and stamp collector, and enjoyed gardening and camping.
She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Medovich in 1974; husband, Edward in 1998; daughter, Catherine Rizza in 2013; and brother, Donald Hill.
Marjorie is survived by her sons, John (Georgia) Medovich of Knoxville, Tenn. and David (Vicki) Medovich of Caspian; brother, Ward Hill and sister, Alice DeMilio both of Illinois; five grandchildren; great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
