She married Ross Lee Riding, June 28, 1985, in the Jordan River Temple. They have three beautiful children.
Susan was a loyal Red Devil fan and rarely missed her children's or nieces and nephews various activities. She loved sports and coached many years. Although she lost her eyesight three years ago, she continued to be a loyal fan.
Susan loved to have a good time and was the life of the party, no matter where she went. She enjoyed many outings with family and friends, especially camping "up to the property." Susan was employed by the State of Utah, licensing childcare providers, retiring in 2003. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many positions.
Susan is survived by her husband, Ross; and children: Jason (Emily) Riding, LeeAnn (Shawn) Fowkes, and Jaynee; grandchildren: Kessler Riding and Jaycee Fowkes; her mother, Jane Averett; brothers: John (Karen) Averett, Steven (Nanette) Averett, Mark (Brenda) Averett; and sister, Tammy (Steven) Oakey. She is also survived by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Amos Leroy and Eula Riding; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Bud Weight Averett; and grandson, Shawn Lee Fowkes.
Susan leaves a legacy of love and caring to be exemplified by all. We gain comfort in knowing she is free from pain and looking down on us, now.
"I have fought a good fight,
I have finished my course.
I have kept the faith."
~2 Timothy 4:7
