Viola Cline Roberts, 88, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Cox-LaGrone Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with the Rev. Dale Moreland of The Church at Quail Creek and the Rev. Doug Hixson of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Pampa officiating. Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. today in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.

Ms. Roberts was born May 25, 1921, in Memphis and joined her savior in heaven on Nov. 18, 2009. She was a devout and active member for almost 40 years of Travis Baptist Church in Memphis, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and working in the children's nursery, basically helping out wherever she was needed. Her primary hobby was reading and studying the Bible. Mrs. Roberts was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Pampa for brief period of time and moved to Amarillo, where she joined The Church at Quail Creek. She will be sorely missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cline of Hedley; a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cline of Kilgore; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include a brother, William Cline of Nacogdoches; a sister, Emma Lou Bramblet of Amarillo; 10 children, Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Roberts of Kilgore, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Roberts of Crawford, Mr. and Mrs. James Roberts of Kilgore, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Roberts of Farmington, N.M., Mr. and Mrs. Leon Roberts of Diana, Carolyn Roberts Gallagher and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Roberts, all of Amarillo, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Roberts of Longview, Gynell Roberts of Victoria and Mr. and Mrs. Bettie Roberts Couch of San Angelo; 51 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; a great-great-great-grandchild; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
