Lillian A. Moore, 74, of Cardington, Ohio died Thursday November 19, 2009 in the emergency room of the Morrow County Ohio Hospital.

She was born in Ellijay, Georgia, the daughter of the late Tabor and Minnie (Patterson) Dale and was one of 10 children.

After the death of her twin siblings and the sudden illness of her mother, Lillian, at age 12 was forced to quit school and help her father raise her other brothers and sisters. At age 22, she moved to Ohio and has now lived in Cardington, Ohio for 31 years.

On April 24, 1976 she married James D. Moore in Columbus, Ohio; a union and friendship spanning 33 years.

Her life's roles included wife, mother, homemaker, and also custodian for the Cardington-Lincoln Schools for over 10 years.

She was a member of the Paradise Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Mansfield, Ohio. Her kindness, warmth, and compassion were second to none.

She is survived by her husband, James of Cardington; children and their spouses, Bill and Barbara Patterson of Corinth, Texas, David and Linda Patterson of Mount Gilead, Ohio; Gary and Pamela Patterson of Cardington, Ohio; Vickie and Kurt Rykwalder of Mount Gilead, and Timothy and April Patterson of Cardington; eight grandchildren, Michael, Johnathon, Jessica, Sarah, Ryan, Cody, Evan, and Riley; one great granddaughter, Kaylynn; two brothers, Hobert (Mary) Dale of Mount Libery and Jay (Betty) Dale of Georgia; two sisters, Geneva (Elbert) Greene of South Carolina and Elondia (Charles) Chapman of Columbus, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Cathy Dale of Georgia.

In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her son, Larry; and siblings and their spouses, James and Janice, Calvin and Jewel, Vernon, George and Nora, and Ozella and Cecil Sosebee.

Service: Monday with Pastor Randy Nichols conducting.
Burial is in Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville.
