Miss Jennie Coe of Conesus has resigned her position in the Normal, a position which she has filled for several years with great credit. This action was made necessary by the illness of her mother.

The report that Miss Jennie Coe had resigned her position at the Genesee Normal was without foundation. Miss Coe had a leave of absence for a week, but has resumed her position.

Miss Jennie Coe, whose death is noticed at some length by our Conesus correspondents, was a lady well known in educational circles throughout western New York. She was a graduate from the Geneseo Normal, and out of respect to her memory, the school was closed on the day of her funeral. She was one of the faculty of the institution until ill health made her resignation necessary. She was also for a time connected with the Buffalo Normal.

Mr. and Mrs. B. S. McNinch closed the Center school on Tuesday afternoon on account of the funeral of Miss Jennie Coe.
