Mrs. Sular M. Gates, 89, formerly of 3101 San Pedro, died in a local nursing home Dec. 13, 1968. She had lived in this city 31 years and was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Jesse and Ellis Gates, grandson, Ralph Gates Jr., San Antonio; granddaughter, Mrs. Elaine Bartling; 3 great and 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Naomi Miller, Floresville; numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary 8 p.m. Sunday, Zizik-Kearnes-Downing McClougherty Chapel. Services 2 p.m. Monday. Zizik-Kearnes-Downing-McClougherty Chapel. Interment Roselawn Memorial Park.
