James D. Sparks, 51, of Spencer, passed away at his residence Thursday, November 20, 2008.
He was born August 13, 1957 in Martinsville to Richard L. and Kathy (Sacks) Sparks. He attended Owen Valley High School.
He joined the Nation Guard and later while serving in the Reserves, he was activated and served in Germany.
Jimmy worked at Mastercraft in Spencer for 14 years then went to work in Greencastle at Lear Mfg.
He is survived by his mother Katy Hancock of Spencer, two daughters Amanda Sparks of Spencer and Crystal (Glenn,II) Collins of Lexington, KY, a granddaughter Reese Collins, three brothers Danny (Murinna) Sparks of Gosport, Marion Sparks and Kevin Sparks of Spencer, and two half brothers Ricky (Wendy) Sparks and Eddie (Kathy) Sparks all of Gosport, and many nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
