Mabel Kathleen “Kathy” Hancock, 79, of Spencer, passed away at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington on Wednesday, November 19, 2014. She was born in Morgan County, Indiana on April 11, 1935 to Tommy and Iva (Brummett) Sacks. She graduated in 1953 from Paragon High School. Mrs. Hancock worked at Otis Elevator 11 years, Bloomington RCA 30 years and Cook Urological 10 years. She was a member of the Paragon First Baptist and Spencer American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Kevin Sparks (Ginger Carnicello) of Spencer and Daniel Sparks (Murinna) of Gosport; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; two great-nieces and two great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sons, Marion Sparks and James Sparks; brothers, Daniel Sacks and Thomas Sacks, Jr.; sister, Dorothy Sacks; grandsons, Chad Sparks and nephew, Stuart Goss.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, November 24, 2014 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Burial will follow at Friendship Park in Paragon. Visitation will be 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., Sunday and 10 a.m. until service time on Monday.
