Death Claims O.D. Westcott
Orion D. Westcott, a former Vancouver resident for many years died November 10 at the home of his daughter in Portland at the age of 89. Born in Michigan, Westcott brought his family to Vancouver in 1907. He was in the building and contracting business here for a few years and then purchased the Vancouver Manufacturing Company which operated until 1927.
Westcott was an active church member and attended the Kenton Bible hall meetings in Portland. Survivors include a son, Morton J. Westcott, Goble, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Louis Langfeldt, Van Nuys, Calif., and Mrs. Florence Judd, Portland; two stepsons, Clifford Pitcher, Everett and Loa Pitcher, Tacoma; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Bell.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the Little Chapel of the Chimes, Portland, with Dee McCroskey, pastor of the Kenton Bible hall officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill cemetery." The Columbian, November 13, 1950.
