She was a former member of the Clinton Christian Church where she served at superintendent of the children's department and sang in the church choir. She was a member of the Palm Lake Christian Church in St. Petersburg, Fla., serving in the women's organizations. She was past president of Church Women United, past president of the activities committee of Melody Gardens Mobile Home Park and past oracle of Royal Neighbors in Blanford, Ind. She received her master's degree in education from Indiana State University.
She was born Feb. 20, 1917, in Veedersburg to Herman L. and Hazel L. Purnell Myers.
Survivors include a son, Ted E. Ratcliff of Crawfordsville, two brothers, Herman Myers of Lake Wales, Fla., and Robert Myers of Waveland; two sisters, Susan Cronkhite of Crawfordsville and Martha Holmes of Veedersburg; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and an infant son.
Services are scheduled for 10 am Monday at the Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with the Rev. Richard Russell officiating. Burial will be in Bonebrake Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-5 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
