Mr. Myers was a World War II veteran and graduated from Kingman High School. He was a member of Scotts Prarie Christian Church, Waveland American Legion and Wallace VFW. He was a former member of the Waveland Fire Department and had been employed by Wabash College in the maintenance department.
Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Sandy Gillogly of Waveland, Mrs. Linda Mendenhall of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Brenda Summerville of Waveland and Mrs. Carol Poole of Marshall; two sons, Jerry Dean of Lake Alfred, Florida, and Pic. Byron with the Marine Corps on Guam; his father; three sisters, Mrs. Elinor Marietta of Clinton, Mrs. Susan Cronkhite of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Martha Holmes of Veedersburg; two brothers, Herman Jr. of Winter Haven, Florida, and Robert of Waveland; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Machledt Sevies Funeral Home in Waveland, Saturday afternoon, with Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial was
in Old Union Cemetery.
