Clyde Eugene "Gene" Betts, 84, of Fort Myers, formerly of Sarasota, died Nov. 14, 2009.
A memorial gathering will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, with a memorial service to follow at 7 p.m., at the Gulf Coast Church of Christ, Fort Myers. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Old Miakka Cemetery, Sarasota.
Survivors include his wife, Novella Allen; a daughter, Vicki Betts Wells; sons Frank, Steve and Clifford; sisters Grace Riddick, Virginia Whitesell, Joanne Chenoweth and Barbara Harris; a brother, Jerry; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
