SAVANNAH - Grace Lucile Betts Riddick, 88, died December 7, 2012.She was born in Sarasota, Florida, resided in Savannah, Georgia, and died in Huntsville, Alabama.She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Roy Lee Riddick, and her daughter, Carol Wardlaw.She is survived by three daughters, Sharon Burks, Janet Cockerham, and Ginger Hamlett, all of Huntsville, Alabama, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.She graduated from Bradenton High School, where she was a star basketball player.She loved flowers, and spent many hours tending her garden.She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, and a charter member of the Central Church of Christ in Savannah, Georgia.The family would like to offer special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama for their genuine compassion and concern in caring for Mrs. Riddick.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Central Church of Christ.The burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Agape of North Alabama Foster/Adoption Childcare.Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel
