Born Nov. 3, 1908, in Garrard Country, she was a daughter of the late Talton W. and Doty Agee May. Mrs. Figgins was a former seamstress, a member of the Methodist faith, and the wife of the late Rev. Elmo R. Figgins. She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a great grandchild, Cameron Figgins.
Survivors include her son, Charles (Joyce) Figgins of Lorena, Texas; a brother, Charles (Lucille) May of Richmond; four grandchildren, Shannon Banks of Bethel, Ohio, Matthew C. (Kimberly) Figgins of Cincinnati, Ohio, Russtell (Stephen) Marmon of Waco, Texas, and Talton James Figgins of Dallas, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Rachel (Daniel) Robertson, Francesca Banks and Tristan and Hayden Figgins; and two great-great-grandchildren, Maxwell and Addison Robertson.
Graveside services for Mrs. Figgins will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at the Lancaster Cemetery.
