JARDINE - At West Weber, Weber County, August 7, 1891, James Jardine; born May 6, 1819, at East Kilbride, Lanarkshire, Scotland; baptized March 13, 1843, by John Monroe. He was President of the Kilbirnie and Dairy branches for years; emigrated to America in the ship "S Cruling" in 1855; crossed the plains in 1859, in Edward Stevenson's company; located in Wellsville in 1859; moved to West Weber in 1866; was a Seventy and High Priest, and was ordained a Patriarch November, 1890, by Apostle F. D. Richards. His whole talk was the future glory of Zion. A valiant son of God is gone.
