Robert "Bob" Petrik, 53, of Mankato, died Thursday, November 12, 2009, at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital after an untimely, short courageous battle with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at the Calvary Cemetery Chapel with Rev. John Kunz officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2009, at Landkamer Johnson-Boman Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at Calvary Chapel. Bob was born August 16, 1956, to Irene Petrik in Lockport, NY. He graduated from Mankato West High School and received his degree in Sales/Marketing from South Central College. Bob was a courier for several firms and most recently at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital. He knew many people, and was a kind hearted friend to all. Bob was a big sports fan, loved music, and enjoyed nature. Bob is survived by his mother Irene, his sister Lesley and her spouse Eduard, and a large extended family.
