Margaret C. Walden, 97 of Winchester, widow of Leroy Walden, passed away on Monday, Oct. 5, 2009 at her home. She was born in Montgomery County on May 2, 1912 to the late Herbert H. and Allie Fay Mason Coppage. Mrs. Walden was a loving homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was active in the Mary Redwine Circle.


She is survived by a daughter, Fay (Rodney) Clem of Winchester; a grandson, Greg (Jenny Lou) Gatson of Louisville; and three great grandchildren, Andrew Gatson, Ben Gatson, and Julia Maze, all of Louisville.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Patricia Gatson Maze.


Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009 at Scobee Funeral Home by Rev. James Williams. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
