J. Fred Rothert, 79, a lifelong resident Holland area, died at his home Sunday.
Deceased was born October 9, 1846, near Holland. In 1887 he was married to Mary Hilgeman. Five children were born to them of whom one son died at the age of 12. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Hulda Cooper, Miss Ida Rothert, and Miss Martha Rothert, and a son Enoch Rothert.
Deceased was a member of the Methodist church of Holland. Services at the church followed by burial in the church cemetery, Rev. D. E. Dengel, officiating.
