Mary was one of six known children born to Capt. William H. Hany/Haney and his wife, Mary Auxier. Mary married Aaron Moore, one of eight children born to John Moore and his wife Margaret Colvin/Calvin. Their wedding took place on December 14, 1802 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Mary's brother, Samuel married Aaron's sister Rachel Moore. Mary and Aaron had eight known children. The children were; Mary (1803-1809), Margaret (1805-18??), John A. (1808-1889), Samuel (1808-1877), Mary (Warwick) Miller (1811-????), William Aaron (1814-1880), Aaron (1818-????)and Abraham (1823-1902).
